Emma Point

Senior Associate & Administration

Background

Emma wears two distinct hats at Ally. For our clients, Emma leads the simulation cells (SIMCELL) for all full-scale emergency exercises and also plays a key role in the planning and execution of After Action Reviews. Behind the scenes, Emma is responsible for the oversight of Ally’s administrative and bookkeeping needs, ensuring we maintain detailed records, everyone gets paid, and nothing falls between the cracks.

Emma offers a unique skillset and perspective to the Ally team having spent much of her previous career in the community sector, with a focus on food systems. Prior to Ally, Emma managed a volunteer program at a community farm in Richmond BC, engaging with over 800 volunteers annually. This work was supported by her graduate level research on the life cycle impacts of food production. Her interest in food systems evolved from seven seasons of managing kitchens in tree planting and fire base camps, and remote wilderness lodges in BC, Manitoba, and Ontario.
