Collingwood School — ICS Training and Tabletop Exercise
Ally Emergency Management strengthened Collingwood School’s emergency preparedness through focused ICS training and a multi-campus exercise.
Collingwood School, operating across two campuses, sought to reinforce the application of Incident Command System principles within its senior leadership team. Maintaining coordinated response capabilities across geographically separated sites presented a key logistical consideration. The school aimed to validate existing communication protocols and decision-making processes during a simulated emergency.
Ally delivered targeted ICS training tailored to the unique operational context of an independent school environment. This was followed by a Tabletop Exercise designed to simulate a simultaneous incident impacting both Collingwood School campuses. The exercise tested participants’ ability to establish command, coordinate resources, and communicate effectively under pressure.
The engagement enhanced Collingwood School's capacity for unified emergency management across its West Vancouver locations. Participants demonstrated improved proficiency in ICS roles and responsibilities, strengthening the school’s overall operational resilience. This proactive approach ensures a more coordinated and effective response to future incidents, safeguarding students and staff.
