Educational institutions—both public and private—operate in high-traffic environments where the safety of students, staff, and visitors is paramount. From day-to-day incidents to complex emergencies, schools face a wide range of risks that require proactive planning, clear procedures, and regular practice.
We support educational organizations in building practical, effective emergency management programs that strengthen preparedness, response, and resilience.
Case Study
In 2018, Ally collaborated with the UBC Emergency Planning Team to meticulously plan and conduct a Full-scale Exercise (FSX) simulating an intentional vehicle attack leading to a mass casualty incident. This comprehensive exercise mobilized the complete emergency response infrastructure of the university, with support from various external agencies prepared to intervene in a real-life scenario. Participants utilized this exercise to rehearse the protocols associated with site evacuation, medical response, traffic control, and the intricate public relations aspects inherent in managing a mass casualty event within a university environment.
Participating agencies included:
- Royal Canadian Mounted Police
- Vancouver Fire Rescue Services
- BC Coroners Service.
