Case Study
FortisBC
Full-scale Exercise
FortisBC (FBC) executed a Full-scale Exercise (FSX) on Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, at the Huntingdon Station. The primary objective of the exercise was to effectively respond to an Emergency Response Plan (ERP) activation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while enhancing inter-agency response capabilities.
The exercise commenced with a gas event, pinpointing a corrosion leak at the station. The simulated repercussions of this leak unfolded as one of the station operators approached from the Whatcom Road T-junction. Upon hearing and witnessing the gas release, the technician promptly initiated a response according to the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
