Full-scale Exercise

Exercise TILBURY TROUBLE was a full-scale exercise with two distinct issues to resolve. The first was a detected release of LNG that prompted a site evacuation. The second issue focussed on a worker who, in his haste to evacuate, slipped and was injured and rendered unconscious in a caged vertical ladder. At the site this exercise engaged FortisBC, Delta Fire Rescue Service – both HAZMAT and high angle rescue teams – while being supported by FortisBC EOC and the Public Affairs Emergency Team at FortisBC Surrey Ops.
