Case Study

Fortis lng

Since 2017, Ally has been a valued partner of the FortisBC Emergency Management Program. One of the notable exercises conducted in late 2023 centered on the Tilbury LNG plant in Delta, BC.

This intricate exercise simulated a cyber-attack scenario, resulting in a generator operating outside safety parameters and an electrical malfunction at the control center, along with a simulated worker injury. Due to the scenario’s location with high traffic, the exercise presented a substantial challenge for the FortisBC Public Affairs team, simulating a surge in phone calls and social media posts from journalists and motorists in the vicinity.

The engagement of the Delta Fire Department heightened the exercise’s realism, contributing to its success. The exercise revealed several strengths and highlighted specific actions to enhance preparedness for incidents of this nature.
