Educational institutions operate in complex, high-traffic environments where the safety of students, staff, and visitors depends on proactive planning and clear procedures. We help schools build and exercise practical emergency management plans that strengthen preparedness, response, and resilience.
Case Study: Collingwood School Extreme Weather Event
Tabletop Exercise and ICS Training
In 2018, Ally facilitated a Tabletop Exercise at Collingwood School in West Vancouver to simulate an emergency scenario in which a sudden and unexpected snowfall trapped several students and staff members within the building. The project was preceeded by two half-day refresher sessions on the Incident Command System (ICS) preceding the exercise. Feedback from Collingwood staff indicated that the exercise significantly contributed to increased engagement and expansion within their Emergency Management program.
