Educational institutions operate in complex, high-traffic environments where the safety of students, staff, and visitors depends on proactive planning and clear procedures. We help schools build and exercise practical emergency management plans that strengthen preparedness, response, and resilience.

Case Study: UBC Exercise Run Down
Full-Scale Exercise
In 2018, Ally worked with the University of British Columbia’s emergency planning team to design and deliver a full-scale exercise simulating an intentional vehicle attack resulting in a mass casualty incident.
The exercise activated UBC’s emergency response framework and involved coordination with external agencies operating in real-world roles. Participants tested and practiced key protocols in a live exercise environment. This included site evacuation, medical response, traffic control, and crisis communications within a complex, high-pressure university setting.
Participating external agencies included:
- RCMP
- Vancouver Fire and Rescue
- BC Coroners Service
